I'm so glad you're here. My name is McKenzie and I'm a Holistic Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), nutrition writer, and communicator who truly loves meeting and connecting with people. As someone who respects Western medicine and can nerd-out about science-based research with the best of them, I also have a deep-rooted appreciation for Eastern medicine and it's wholistic approach to health and well-being. I aim to make the world a healthier, happier place by helping people be heard, encouraging them to trust their own bodies, and helping them to restore a judgment-free relationship with food.
I graduated magna cum laude from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, California and completed my dietetic internship at Bastyr University in Seattle, Washington. I am an active member in the Academy of Nutrition & Dietetic's practice group, Dietitians for Integrative & Functional Nutrition and have completed the Academy's Certificate of Training in Integrative and Functional Nutrition. I am also a Certified LEAP (Lifestyle Eating and Performance) Therapist.
When I'm not "working," I'm happiest on hiking trails or at the beach, spending time in my small but mighty kitchen, reading, or packing my bags to head out on my next adventure. A native of Alberta, Canada, I reside in Los Angeles, California with my husband, Evan, our daughter, Ivy and our dog, Owen.
